Common Tamarisk (Tamarix gallica L.) is a small tree, or bush well adapted to the mediterranean climat where it grows instantly. It can resist sea spray and sand, ideal for windy places by the sea ! In Torreilles it can found in lots of places, often close to other plants like Suaeda maritima or orach.
